This shawl is a great first lace project for a novice knitter. The lace is very simple, easy to memorize and is reversible. I knit this model in one day while my hubbie watched football.
The shawl pictured was made up with one - 197 yd ball of Classic Shades (Canyon) by Universal Yarn. It is worsted weight yarn. For needles I used 10 1/2 (US) knitting needles and F crochet hook for optional embellished ends.
Finish off your shawl with a pretty vintage button or broach.
