I was so thrilled to find this crochet pattern. I found a doily crocheted with this pattern a few months ago at an estate sale. Now I can make a matching one! This is a classic doily from 1957.
From the pattern: Crochet this rose doily is any desired colors. The model was made from Puritan Mercerized Crochet Cotton in white and green (one ball of each) and Puritan Star Spangled mercerized cotton in pink and yellow ( one ball of each). Use a steel crochet hook number 7 (US). Using the suggested thread and hook, the doily will measure about 10 inches in diameter.
Some knowledge of vintage crochet patterns will be helpful.
