Vintage Knitted Peacock Doily from 1954
From the pattern: This lovely knitted square doily will make any proud possessor the talk of the town. The original was made in white and measures about 17 1/2 inches square. You will need one large ball of number 30 crochet cotton and for greatest ease of working, you should use 5 double pointed steel knitting needles size 13 or 14 (old US). / 15 or 14 (UK) / 1.75 or 2 (mm) / 00 or 0 (US)
